Club Calendar

So the calendar on the sidebar of the site was not working properly.  It has been moved to the bottom of the site and you can now see upcoming tournaments with their information and the regularly scheduled club meetings.  Enjoy and please let me know if anything is not working properly.

Chess Tonight

Sorry for the late post.  We will be meeting at 7:15pm in the banquet room downstairs.  We have had several new faces so far and I hope that trend continues.  I look forward to playing with you all tonight!

We will be meeting at the Turner Club tomorrow. I hope to see a nice crowd!

Come on out tomorrow for an enjoyable night of chess. We should be starting a tournament soon, so get some practice to help you round into form.

Tournaments

I am not sure if anyone has noticed, but I have added a calendar on the sidebar to the right.  If you click on this calendar it will take you to the Aurora Chess google calendar.  On there it has chess club scheduled for each week (I will try to remember to remove it for any meetings which need to be cancelled) along with all of the tournaments I know of.  The most current listing of tournaments can also be found on the Illinois Chess Association's Website.

We're back!

Well, the holidays are over and it's time for chess club to start up again.  We will be meeting tomorrow, January 8th at 7:15 as usual.  I am looking forward to starting back up and seeing all of you again.  Please bring your suggestions on how we can make 2013 the best year yet!

New Web Address!

To make the site easier to find I have claimed www.AuroraChess.com as the domain for our website.  The old site address will still work, so don't worry about any bookmarks or links which are already out there.

Changes Coming

We have some changes coming for 2013.  Details to come later.  We are looking to do a tournament to start the year off and perhaps start a ladder system.  In addition we will be requesting a membership fee to help cover some of the costs we incur as a club, but are still working out the details on that as well.  Your input is more than welcome, so please let us know if there is anything you would like to see or anything that you would like to change.  This club is all about the members so we really do need your input!
