I have posted a game between Kyle and myself from last Tuesday night. I asked Kyle for his annotations, and I have posted both his and my own thoughts on the game. It was a good game, with dynamic play, up until the end.. but I don't want to spoil your reading!
If any of you other club members have games from club time, or other times, that you wish to post here, send them to me and I can post them to this site! You don't have to have annotations, but those are welcome and encouraged of course, so the rest of us can gain insight into the 'behind the scenes' goings on!
Darin, for the ANCC.
Darin,on move 6. after Kyles development of his knight instead of pawn trade fxe5 why didn't you equalize with d5? He can't take exd5 because of your move e4, and if he does 7.fxe5 you have ...dxe5 8.exf6, Nxf6 9. Bc4 (Be2?) exf2. would have removed the tension in the center and set you up for a strong castle. And without the f pawn for white you should look even if not a little nicer. Maybe you didn't like this, if so let me know.
ReplyDeleteMove 20. Kyle why did you move your queen to e2?? just go back to g2 or 3 so the g5 push can't happen.
ReplyDeleteLastly, I just ran it through the computer and when kyle killed your pawn on d4 on move 43. Darin went from being 3.5 behind to 1.7 ahead. I guess the computer was saying kyle's 43. move should have been Bd1 double attacking the f pawn which if taken would check the king forcing the q trade.
